Your Art Class Quacks
 
Ducks are unique animals. They are almost comical when they waddle around. Many famous cartoon characters are ducks: Donald and Daffy are each unique ducks. My friend had a family of mallard ducks build a nest in her front, landscaped garden under a large bush. My friend lived within a mile of a lake. We learned that they live near wetlands and eat water plants and small water creatures. The male mallard, called a drake, had a glossy green head that was beautiful. The female was brown speckled. We never got close enough to see the eggs but the family waddled away one day and reminded us of the many duck crossings that exist for duck families all over the world.
